This is the first day of my morning blog, and its a morning indicative of why I would start a blog to motivate myself into a better routine.
It was an especially hazy morning. The sun is out and the weather is almost spring-like, but that didn't get me up any earlier. I was relying on the two alarm method that I've been trying out the past two weeks, which consists of one alarm to simply get me out of bed, and another in case I crawl back into bed to cuddle my girlfriend and snooze. The first time I tried this a few days ago it actually worked somewhat...I got up to turn of the first alarm on my computer (fantastic gadget on my Mac that I'll cover in a later post), and instead of going back to bed, I showered, brushed my teeth and even got dressed. Unfortunately that only worked once, and today I turned off the first alarm and crawled right back into the coziness of my bed. Finally, as it has been in the past several months, 8:00am rolled around, and I got ready in a half panic, chatted a bit with my girlfriend, drank a healthy morning drink. I didn't pack my lunch to work. I did however drop my girlfriend off at home, and stop by to get one of my favourite coffee and cinnamon buns at Bubby Rose on Cook. So here I am at work, half an hour later than I should be, an hour later than I would like to be.
On a technical note... I don't have a proper website set up, but I just couldn't wait any more, so I set up this one on blogger. I'll have to find time to figure out Wordpress at some point...
